Los Angeles City College was the first of nine colleges created to form the Los Angeles Community College District, the nation's largest.  It is located on 40 acres in Hollywood, five miles from Downtown L.A.
L.A. is semi-tropical

The climate and physical location are ideal, with an average annual temperature of 78 degrees (25.6 Celsius) and 330 days of sunshine every year.  LACC is less than an hour from Pacific Ocean beaches in one direction, and the San Gabriel Mountains in the other direction.  You could swim in the morning and ski in the afternoon.International Sports

L.A. residents are from almost every country on earth, and they bring their culture, arts, food and entertainment with them.  Restaurants of all ethnic varieties abound.  Within minutes of LACC, you can enjoy The Los Angeles Philharmonic and ballet performances, the famous Hollywood Bowl, plays, musicals, museums and sporting events.  Universal Studios, Dodger Stadium, The Greek Theater and Hollywood Walk of Stars are in our neighborhood. Disneyland is in the nearby town of Anaheim.
